Recording Sessions
Be Rihanna, Girls Aloud or Elton!
Choose a song to sing from 100s of backing tracks, or bring your own instrument to play your favourite music.
In each session, your singing or playing is professionally recorded and mixed onto a studio quality CD with your photo on the front. We also film your performance and make a DVD mini-movie, so that you can remember your day forever! We provide one CD for each performer and one DVD per group. Extra DVDs and CDs are available to buy for friends and family.
When you arrive at The Sound Cube, we warm up your voice with vocal exercises and let you sing or play through your song to practise a few times.
There’s no need to be nervous at all. It’s lots of fun! After each session we try to have the CDs and DVDs ready for collection or posting as soon as possible. There is also a large-screen TV outside The Sound Cube so family and friends can watch your performance.
Location
Venture down into The Sound Cube’s modern, funky space and record and perform in the specially converted studio and Dance Vaults formerly 1897 bank vaults.
The original, magnificent vault doors give historic charm inside our contemporary viewing area.
The dance vault is a beautifully designed air-conditioned performing space with mirrors and a starlit backdrop.
Backing Track Sessions
Choose a backing track from our music list and sing along to it in the studio. The backing tracks are a professional standard and most of them include vocals by backing singers from Top of the Pops!
Backing track sessions can be booked for solo sessions, groups or birthday parties up to 16 people.

Instrumental Sessions
Bring your instruments and play solos, duets, trios, quartets etc. The Sound Cube is 2.85m x 2.85m and would suit small groups.
Vocal Sessions
Perhaps you would like to sing a piece from your singing lessons, an exam grade piece or a song from your choir practice? Come and record a high-class demo for a record company.

We have many years experience recording these types of sessions.

Terms and conditions
Cancellations will be subject to a minimum charge of £30 rebooking fee, If rebooking your session is not possible a 50% cancellation fee may be charged.
There is a minimum charge of £188 on weekends for parties. Weekends run from 4pm on Fridays to 4:30pm on Sundays.
Responsibility cannot be taken – nor refunds given – for any recording session starting late through no fault of The Sound Cube @ Junior Scholars or sessions which are disrupted or incomplete due to customer misbehaviour. Any breakages must be paid for in full.
